Friendship is a big and important part of human life. In this story there isn’t a lot of friendship, which is obvious because, in the book Of Mice and Men By: John Steinbeck, the other men were surprised to find out that George and Lennie even traveled together. But George and Lennie’s friendship, as John Steinbeck shows, is valuable, especially to Lennie, to have someone to go to, talk to, and help him out.
