First, in their song "Public Fear In Private Places" they sing, "dump my heart into a blender just to pour it out to you," which expresses the violent impact love can have on your heart physically, and intellectually. Secondly, Front Porch Step 's song "Drown" expresses a pessimistic attitude toward love as well. In the song it states, "begging God to rid my head, of every word you 've ever spoken," which reflects the pain love causes to many people because of the remembrance of their past lover. Lastly, "If I Tremble" by Front Porch Step, exercises the use of a pessimistic attitude toward love as well. The song states, "how can something so well put
