Felix’s body trembled faintly as he stayed kneeled before his father and the elders of the Frostblade Family in the Grand Hall.

That day had finally arrived. The day he had expected and feared for ever since he had lost his left hand five years ago.

Although he had long prepared himself to face these words, they were still like a thunderclap to his ears.

People began talking in the streets. Would the half-swordsman really be the next leader of the Frostblade Family?

The severity of the matter had reached a point where the Frostblade Family could no longer tolerate to stay silent.

And so they came to a decision: to banish Felix from the family and sever all relations with him. This was the only way they could solve all their problems at once. It would also get their enemies of their back.
