Good afternoon,
I am interested in the full-time Consultant position to support Chinese high school students and their families apply to US high schools, colleges, and graduate schools.
While I am new to China, I have learnt through communicating with parents of my students that writing skills and critical thought process are primary concerns in their child’s education. Another priority for parents is to have a parent-teacher relationship with open paths of communication to better support their children reaching their educational goals. • Traveling to schools/cities within China.
I have only been in China for five months and am excited to explore the country and meet new people.
• Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university.
I am Canadian with a Bachelor degree in Social Work with a minor in Political Science from McGill University, which is rated the top university in Canada. The Social Work Undergraduate Degree program at McGill University is the most competitive program in Canada as it only admits 50 local and international students per year.
• Passion for education, interest in academic topics and working with students and families.
Part of my belief system is that one must continue to learn throughout one’s life, both through academics and life experiences, to reach one’s fullest potential and enjoy life to it’s fullest capacity.
As a social worker I have learnt that sometimes we need a help accomplishing our goals.
