How do you envision them in these areas as an adult? Explain your answers. (3 points) • As far as physical development goes, Ariya was on track with puberty and her athletic abilities were outstanding. She did well in all fine motor and gross motor tasks. Based on her high levels of activity, I believe she will continue to live an active and healthy lifestyle well into her young adulthood. • Ariya’s cognitive development was also above average. She did exceedingly well in all of her classes, including AP and college credit courses. During her growth, neural connections were constantly forming. She spent a lot of time reading and performing science experiments, and also a plethora of time socializing and interacting with peers and friends, so she formed lots of connections in those areas of her brain. Her ability to reason and tell jokes also reflected her ongoing cognitive development. Furthermore, her theory of mind, her ability to understand other people’s thoughts and experiences differ from hers, developed seamlessly. During infancy and early childhood, I was the primary role model in her life. She developed a working model of a relationship from our interactions, and she based all of her future relationships off of this model, so even though we were not interacting as much once she became a teenager, our relationship still affected the types of peer relationships she formed. Additionally, I felt familial influence took priority over peer influence for much of her development.
