PE should not be mandatory because many kids are embarrassed or scared of getting made fun of by other students, skipping school because of P.E, and eating healthy also impacts your health and not just running and playing with jump ropes. “Teasing/bullying could happen with overweight kids because they are not as “athletic” as others or can't run as fast/keep up” (Wong). If students don't eat healthy but do physical activities, they should not expect to lose weight and become more athletic. Many students don't realize that eating healthy has such a huge impact on their health that they won't see a difference in their athletic ness. This shows that students skip P.E to skip getting bullied or made fun of. It also explains “non athletic” kids may become embarrassed by their body and not want to go swimming without a shirt or even just eat around other people. Many students are even just skipping school because of P.E says this quote by (Wong) “This P.E. requirement made students less inclined to go to school.” Another thing is that some kids don't want to go to their next class all sweaty and hot because they might not focus as easily, which shows it can mess with their learning ability too.
