The author shows the spiraling decent of the Tudors due to the lavishness and excesses of the Tudors that ultimately led to their downfall. This book read to me like an ancient episode of the Jerry Springer show in text form from 600 years ago, it had all the hallmarks, family rivalry, torture, gluttony and self indulgence.
