This unit has really opened up my eyes and level of thinking. I had not actually thought about branding until I read this week 's reading step by step that made me realize that I can actually brand my product effectively using the tools and skills have learned in this unit. I would like to focus on improving the website the branding skills I have just aquired so that I can perfect them to help build my brand. I gave positive feedback and point my fellow peers to things they need to improve on. I received feedback with an open mind and would make changes suggested my fellow peers.
Being healthy does not only mean to only consume vigorous sustenance, but to enjoy what you eat. When Mary asserts '' trust your body and meet your needs'', by that I’m assuming what she's trying to say is that eat what you desire but in moderate. For example having salad for meal everyday does not make you healthy, and eating burgers and French fries every week it’s acceptable because it’s not extreme. One knows when to stop when eating large quantity of nosh, its common sense.
Hence the book successfully appeals us take mindful actions and follow mindful consumption patterns to make this world a better place to
The chapter helps remind me that I can be healthy without going to the gym, without eating more or eating less, and so much more. I appreciate the author for doing this because many need to hear it. I wonder what made him even write this chapter. David seems like a healthy guy, I assume he sees many healthy people, but what made him decide to help people who have not learned as much as him? He mentions how advertisers try to pretend they care, but they have no regard for health.
The time spent at Western Governors University (WGU) has been a great opportunity to learn about myself, my goals, and understand the factors that influence my career choice and my success. When I began at WGU four years ago, I did not have any experience in human resource management beyond recruiting, hiring and training for the restaurant industry. In the beginning, I was uncomfortable with the limited knowledge. Yet, as time progressed, my confidence, knowledge and skills increased with each course.
This is what I feel the book was trying to tell it’s audience, to not engage in risky or harmful activities just for self satisfaction or popularity, as it will do more harm than good. The book made me think about my past experiences and my own life, and it made me feel more confident in who I am as a whole. It allowed me to view my accomplishments, weaknesses, and goals, and make me proud of what I have done so
“If I’m being honest, I get, on average, four to five hours of sleep every night, just because I’m juggling all my homework on top of my extracurriculars. Second semester will only get crazier, because then tennis season starts. My schedule will literally explode.” Jasmin Yu-- we all know about her. The simple mention of her name conjures up images of the “perfect student”--a straight-A piano prodigy, devoting herself entirely to her studies, while simultaneously balancing marching band practices with Praise Band chapel performances, Honors Society Executive Board duties with 3 AP course workloads, and tennis season with her social life.
This lesson showed how I used tiered instruction when creating word problems for 2nd graders. I also adjusted this lesson and applied it to a 3rd grade lesson on word problems. The use of tired instruction used tired instruction and questioning. Students who needed more support received clearer problems and sentences frames, while other students received unclear problem and needed to create their own sentences.
On April 18, 2017, I completed clinic rotation at Prince George’s County Health Department (PGCHD). We were scheduled for two shifts (morning and afternoon). PGCHD proves dental services for low-income children, high-risk patients, and moms-to-be of Prince George’s County residents. Patients are able to receive preventive and restorative care within the clinic. Days before going to PGCHD I was apprehensive, especially since it would be my first time treating children.
The next aspect in ‘Simple Healthy Living’ is to help each other and sharing with those in need. If you do have money and are wealthy, giving to the poor and helping others will be fixing two of your unhealthy living situation. The next lesson I was to talk about is ‘Right Livelihood’, which is talking about how we, the people of the United States of America, need to be informed. We need to know what is going on in our global economics and political and social realities. We also need to not invest
Taking UNIV 1301.48 it has taught me a lot about how to manage my personal and class time. With the Time Study Project, it put my whole week schedule on paper. I saw where I can fit in studying time that will work for me. The Time Study Project showed me the best way to fit in studying time for my classes. I’m choosing the Time Study Project to connect it to the three articles because I can really relate to it
I am a student in DVBS, and I often need to explain my school repeatedly. Although it was sometimes uncomfortable for me to describe my “no-name” school, I am proud to be a student in Developing Virtue Boys School. Believe it or not, an organization with several wealthy and powerful figures, including Obama's previous lawyer, once gave a lecture in my school about their realization in kindness. They explained how kindness could help students become successful in the future. However, they didn't know that kindness was one practice students in DVBS learned everyday.
I have watched a lot of inspiring movies and I would say that Temple Grandin is the most striking. This movie revolves around a woman named, Temple Grandin, who became successful despite having limitations due to her autism. She graduated as college valedictorian and she also completed her Ph.D. Furthermore, the movie also shows the importance of moral support and understanding to the persons with autism for their consolation and feeling of relief. I commend the movie for effectively showing how a person with autism or disability like Temple Grandin could overcome her limitations and eventually become successful. The movie clearly emphasized that the support, help, understanding, respect and acceptance of people are some of the vital factors that influence the persons with autism to be optimistic in order to have a positive outlook in life.
I strongly value my health and believe that health is our greatest form of wealth. When one lives a healthy lifestyle, it means more opportunities to explore the world, build families, achieving anything the heart desires and conquering personal goals. The behavior change philosophy fits my personal philosophy of health education the most because it involves goal setting, behavioral contracts and self-monitoring to help foster the modification of an unhealthy habit. The behavior change philosophy is very important because change is a process, not an event. Self-efficacy and motivation are key factors in successful behavior changes.
As I reflect on the past 15 months of attending CCU. I recall the excitement, and the overwhelming stress of having to work full time and attend online college. I was not sure that I could complete my degree at fifty years old. Because of being out of school for over 30 years. I was somewhat reluctant to give it a try.
