Mary is a leader, she has company omniscience & she has reactive adaptation, all of which combined allow her to be a superhero! Mary is valued as a leader and has held many leadership positions within GM, currently holding the highest leadership position, CEO. Leadership comes with power and authority over those who you lead, which can be taken for granted, but Mary uses this power for good instead of evil. Another one of Mary’s important superpowers is company omniscience. Mary has worked for the company since the start of her career and has worked her way through many different areas; because of this she knows the ins and outs of the company which allows her to have company omniscience. She understands the company, how it works and understands the positions that are held within the company. Her superpower of company omniscience allows her to be more informed and to be an overall stronger leader. Another strong ability that Mary has is reactive adaptation, the ability to resist whatever she is exposed too. From the start of her reign as CEO, she was faced with a large recall problem. This was a huge & controversial issue that cost GM millions of dollars. “Barra’s achievement certainly deserves some credit. She had a tough year. GM recalled almost 27 million vehicles in 2014 and the death toll tied to a defective ignition switch used on older GM cars hit 100 this May. Nevertheless, the CEO has been widely praised for how she handled the crisis, and the company recently had its best quarter in North America since emerging from bankruptcy in 2009.” Mary didn't get defeated from this issue. She rose up & took control! GM, as stated, is now on the rise to greatness
