Amphibolite is found at more intense pressures and temperatures than schists are found due to these metamorphic rocks being made from sediments that get subducted back down into the mantle. The unique Catalina Schist was formed when these layers of rock in the Farallon plate became subducted underneath the North American plate and eventually becoming “stuck.”

There are many reasons why Los Corrales is my favorite spot to dine in on a Sunday night. I never knew about this place until my dad came home one and night and explained to us he had ordered a quesadilla and he couldn’t believe his eyes. My mouth got watery as he explained the quesadilla was as long as twelve inches and filled with beef and melted Chihuahua cheese on the inside and how the cheese was starting to come out the edges of the corn tortilla and, with some hot sauce it couldn’t get any better. Los Corrales has a selection from the sea, American and, Mexican food. When I step foot into this restaurant I feel at home not only because of their very fine made Mexican style of cooking but, because all of the employees are extremely friendly and, glad to help their customers.

Underwater at 8:18am, it is very foggy this morning, we cannot see Isla Tiburon from the North boat ramp to give you a sense. Calm waters, light blue skies, low tides, left wave crash, fog looks as if it 's heading west toward Isla Tiburon. Took off at 8:23am, towards the southwest side of Isla Tiburon. We saw common mergansers in groups of 50 or so at 8:29am in the fog. We are now in the middle of the sea and cannot see Isla Tiburon or Kino behind us at 8:45am.

Mauna Kea is a shield/ hotspot volcano located on the Big Island of Hawaii. I want to go to Mauna Kea because of the beautiful summit, exciting topography, as well as the otherworldly drive up and down the mountain.

Since the age ten I had waited eagerly for years for my quinceañera to come. These two plates push and shove each other causing small tremors throughout which can cause landslides,volcanic eruptions and once in a couple years, quakes with devastating results. The strongest earthquake recorded occurred in 1991 with a measure of 7.6 on the Richter scale. This earthquake left 4 dead and buildings as well as bridges and road were completely destroyed. If another Earthquake occurs, the coastal cities would be the most affected ones as they are closer to the plates.
In the play, The Tempest, by William Shakespeare, there are two instances of sibling power struggles present throughout this comedy, which both have common motivations. These two power struggles were those between Prospero and Antonio and also between Alonso and Sebastian, each were caused by one sibling’s desire to gain a political position. The main culprits in these power struggles are Antonio, who took his brother’s place as Duke of Milan, and Sebastian, who tried to take his brother’s place as King of Naples. Both of these men made these attempts at power due to greed, convenience, and qualification. Therefore, The Tempest featured two dominant plays for power, which were motivated by avarice, convenience, and qualification.
