Gap Inc. is prominently recognized for its commitment to the community and dominating role in the global apparel retail industry. This organization also focuses on reconstructing communities through minority empowerment programs and aiding to provide clean air and drinking water. Throughout the years, GAP Inc. has had a fluctuation in net sales and global revenue. However, it continues to remain a fierce competitor to stores like H&M, JCrew, and Zara. There are a lot of internal weakness that prohibits Gap Inc. from generating a high profit, however with new management and a revamp in business organization, has improved of net sales which were confirmed by the 2% increase in the first fiscal quarter of 2017. When faced with adversaries, GAP Inc. is committed to improving on consumer needs. They analyze their area of weakness and find resolutions that enable them to generate profits. Gap Inc. is more the retail store, they brand name revolutionized the true meaning of humanitarian. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the history of GAP Inc, provided with a SWOT analysis.
