Gary Ridgway was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 18, 1949. Ridgway had a difficult time in school. When he was a kid, he took an IQ test a got 82, explaining why his grades were so low. He had to repeat a year of school to pass. His parents would violently fight a large number times and Ridgway would watch.
He did have some close calls. In 1983, a victim named Maria was taken off the strip where her boyfriend saw her being taken. The boyfriend followed the pickup truck, yet the truck got away from him(Harthorne, 2013). The police questioned Gary Ridgway because the boyfriend recognized it to be his truck. Gary Ridgway convinced the police that it was not his truck.
Gary Leon Ridgway was 52 years old when he was arrested in connection to seven murders of prostitutes, drug addicts, and young female runaways in the Seattle, Washington area (Hickey, p. 32, 2016). He was a painter that ultimately helped police link him to the murders by using microscopic paint particles. In addition, DNA evidence was also used to help connect him to the murders. Police also suspected him in committing over 40 more murders of women working or living on the streets (Hickey, p. 32, 2016). All of his victims were between the ages of 15 and 26, with the exception of three women who were in their 30’s (Hickey, p. 32, 2016).

When he regained enough strength he began to walk to safety which was 200-300 miles away.
Javon Anderson share his inspiring story, how he lost an incredible 135 pounds of weight without going through drastic measures. Anderson weighed 330 pounds before, which was his heaviest but then he realized that it is a huge burden on his life. He told ABC NEWS, "It wasn 't necessarily a huge problem up until high school. That 's when a lot of the weight added on." When he played football for the Wayne State University, he said that he needed to put on a lot of weight because he was on the defensive line.
A memorable work experience will also involve an individual who feels that they and their work matters. The idea of slavery is shun upon because the effort of the slaves was not properly recognized, nor were their effort of any matter to the white masters and slaveholders. Former slave Frederick Douglass’s narrative of his life as a slave under the supervision of slaveholder Mr. Covey focus not on his unpaid hard labor, but that he did not he mattered to. Douglass addressed that there could never be too much “rain, blow, hail, or snow” to work (Douglass 320). Forcing someone to work from day until dawn despite the condition of the weather is a message to them that they do not matter.
He would go to clear tables out front and come back to more work, which just helped to overwork and stress him out. He had to do this for weeks until his boss promoted him to a table position after his work ethic had improved and he no longer complained. Another narrative technique that was used in the text was varied sentence structure. The author said that he had a pretty hard home life and never wanted to be there. Even though the job sucked in the beginning when his work ethic wasn’t strong and all he did was complain about the job, it really was a place where the author enjoyed working there in the end.
On 9/24/15 worker met with Mr. Hyde at his residence for the purpose of linking him with Visiting Angels service. When worker arrived with the Visiting Angels Mr. Hyde was home alone sitting in his recliner watching TV. He was appropriately dressed with good hygiene and the home was clean and free from odor. A lost job was the beginning of a series of unfortunate events in the stark life of Leonard Clough. Throughout the town of Philadelphia a rumor was spreading of hard times that were soon to come.
