In my review of someone who has established himself or herself as a master in the new media journalism industry is Gary Vaynerchuk. On his website Gary Vaynerchuk informs his readers that he has been an entrepreneur longer then any of his closet family and friends can remember. He started at the age of eight squeezing lemons and managing seven lemonade stands across his neighborhood in Edison NJ (New York Times Best Selling Author). He looked for ways to advertise the wine sold in his stores. His idea of looking at how wine is sold was to create a video taste testing blog called “Wine Library TV”. In the beginning of his wine company he looked at many different ideas and concepts to increase his brand awareness and overall revenue. This creative strategy builds on his ability to be reactionary. In his New York Times best seller “Crush It!” Vaynerchuk tells his readers “Be reactionary. React to what the market wants.” Through his reactions he realized “the market wants one-on-one real time engagement” (Vaynerchuk 2009). His ability to look to the future of business and his timing in the industry has powered creative breakthroughs for his business online. He takes great pride in his ability to have great timing.
