FUNDAMENTAL OF ARTS The book “Gateways to the arts” by Debra J. Dewrite, Ralph M. Larmann, and M. Kathryn Shields explains the important of the artworks and develop the skills of analyzing, interpreting, and the ways of looking at the work of art. This book repeatedly encounter me as I read the book and helps me a lot to approach to the depth of arts. The understanding of the basic elements of the arts and the principle of the arts are very important to encounter the power and the value of the artwork. There are four parts that we can consider understanding the arts. They are Fundamentals, media and process, history and context, and themes. It is very important for all artists
