An educational journey refers to the process of learning and the personal growth of an individual?s education. Education has always been seen as a pillar of personal and social growth and development. However, it has its faults and issues. The debate of whether or not our educational system develops or stifles a person?s growth continues even to this day. Several recounts of different educational experiences prove that our education system can and continues to stifle a child?s growth. Both teachers and students are stuck in a cycle that limits what they can learn and do within the classroom. If there was more of an open curriculum, it would allow teachers to open students to more ways to solve problems and develop their critical thinking skills. Schools continue to stick to a cycle that has proven time and time again that it is ineffective. In contrast, some people believe that our education system helps to develop a student?s intellect. One argument that is made is having someone within the education system, such as a teacher, principal, or administrator who cares for their students. They can make a difference in a student?s life by empowering them and motivating them to continue their educational journey.
