Gay marriage is one of the many topics that is constantly being overlooked and is not accepted by many people in today’s society. Some people believe that gay marriage is nothing to be ashamed of and should be accepted, while others believe that gay marriage is an abomination. However, the LGBTQ+ community should not suffer due to the opinions of outside forces. People in this community should feel accepted and not afraid to love who they are, along with the right to marry who they choose. Without this right granted to all, many citizens feel as if they are victimized and discriminated for being someone they cannot help being. Marriage to whoever you want is something that should not have to be earned and accepted among society, it is a right given to us in the constitution. People have the right to marry whichever sex they choose and they should not be punished by the law or by others. Same sex marriage is now a civil right all throughout the United States, and it is about time that it is treated as so. The opinions of others or their religious faith should be kept out of civil issues when the idea that most people do not share the same faith is taken into consideration. The idea of a traditional marriage has been hardwired into the brains of those who are stubborn to be seen as one that is between a mother and a father, wife and husband. It is a widespread stereotype that children should be raised with both a mother and a father, not two of either. As we progress farther into the modern age, we are discovering more and more that people see traditional marriage as either heterosexual or homosexual. Traditional marriages should not exclude those of the LGBTQ+ community, and everyone should be taught how to accept people for who they are despite their love
