The main aim of BSA has been to bring up boys who are morally upright, responsible and physically fit. This means that this program should cover all the citizens of America irrespective of their sexual orientation. The issue of sexual orientation is a matter of personal choice and decision and therefore, should not affect a person’s ability to be a Boy Scout. In addition, there is a big number of youths in America who are gays and may be left out if the ban is returned. However, the society is not in full support of gays and every parent would want his/her child to grow up well. Therefore, as the BSA allows the gay scouts into the movement, there is need for them to step up their programs are reduce the number of gay youths and scouts through proper training and orientation. There are several instances that show that Americans and people in other parts of the world. Within the BSA, nearly 60 % of the delegates voted for the lift of the ban on gays. So many activists have come up to campaign for such rights. The faith-based organizations like the United Methodist Church and Mormon Church, who are chief financiers of the organization, have also expressed the need to have all youths irrespective of their sexual orientation into the organizations. The good thing is that the delegates have voted to include all there. However, the integrity of the BSA must remain in place even with the view that they have also accepted these people.
