A major social barrier is gender inequality. This is a major social barrier even in the modern day because men think women could not do what they do because they assume they are better at everything. In the text Stanton states that all men and women were created equal like in paragraph two it says, “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men and women are created equal”. In the text of Truth's Speech she says, “So I am for keeping the thing going while things are stirring; because if we wait till it is still, it will take a great while to get it going again”. This quote is able to show that waiting on the situation to resolve itself has not made a change because they aren't voicing themselves.Waiting on this problem to work itself out is a bad idea for women at all because they are risking their lives potentially and their rights are not able to make a comeback because they are not saying anything about it. Confronting the problem is the best way to work out gender inequality because women are able to prove their point and show men why they need their rights and why they are so upset about it, and they are trying to put men in their shoes to change their perspective. This solution is most effective and important because it gives women a chance and opportunity to be able
