While taking this course I came to a realization of many things, some being good and some being a bit disheartening. While I learned many things that can benefit me in my future career as an educator, the career I always fabled in my head as a YouTuber quickly diminished after realizing I’m vastly more awkward in recording. The lesson plan was painstakingly awkward for me to do, though it definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and into a realization that I need to be more comfortable in front of any audience because that’s (hopefully) where my career will take me. When looking at multiple perspectives you begin to see the amount of things you can do to a text just by looking at it from another perspective. Multiple Perspectives is essentially giving more dimensions to the text by reading it through another sort of lens. You’re beginning to view it from a completely different angle, when teaching students this I think it’s imperative because they may start to question more things that they are being shown rather than just accepting them. The examples given on page 36 with “Humpty Dumpty” and “There Was an Old Woman who lived in a Shoe” are something that further proves that you can add dimension to even the simplest of stories, especially ones that have become staples in early learning. I feel like lesson plans are almost like planners in a way, we are able to use them to write down what we need to do and exact steps so that we do not forget anything when we are in the classroom. When we are in an actual classroom this will help us smoothly be able to teach classes without forgetting aspects of the lesson. When thinking in advance about a lesson, we would be able to reference the lesson plan for materials that we may need to go out and get so that we can complete it. Furthermore, if we happen to be absent, having a lesson plan will help a substitute be able to go into the classroom and not feel lost when they have to teach the
