Examining ads found in social media products such as, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter, you can learn many things. These three social media tools and more are how the world is seen on social media and what people think of themselves. These two things are manipulated and constantly used in ads to create attention and make people question. What question or problem they pose is a major factor as to how people will react to the ad. A lot can lead to becoming even self-conscious about yourself or what the ad is referring to. It is just a continuous game attempting to grab our attention.

This continuous game is very successful in not only grabbing our attention but making us doubt ourselves. Self doubt is what social media ads are good at. Take a typical Instagram ad for example such as a beauty product, when we see this ad it is usually followed with a picture of a stunning person wearing the beauty product advertised. Almost immediately the person witnessing the ad compares them self to person and thinks they need that beauty product to look exactly like this photo shopped actor. As we scroll through our feed we constantly see the worlds expectation of the person everyone should be. This is the grab ads use to trap people. Unknowingly or knowingly these ads have a dramatic effect on people, creating doubt and insecurity in many people. The combination of doubt and insecurity can cause people to act profusely in an attempt to become like that person they saw in the ad. Ads are everywhere and ultimately impossible to avoid.
