In the children’s book, Iron Man excludes women because it is portrayed that women cannot be superheroes and hold power. This shows that men are not as tough as they are viewed to be this supports gender equality. The boy was also impressed like all the other women that seen iron man flying over top of them, so this shows that men and women are equal. Even though men are getting scared and are even getting impressed by the male superhero the women are still viewed in a stereotypical way and even excluding their gender. Throughout the entire story there was only one women shows and that shows that the book in sexist. There were hundreds of men in the factory working, while there was only one women as an assistant, proving women are not important. Throughout the children’s book, women are viewed in a stereotypical and was silenced. Marvel has wrote the book in a sexist matter. They did not include women, as they should have. This is not a good book for young children to read for they will learn when they are young that women are pointless and useless and will carry that view for the rest of their life.
