General Dynamics operates through four segment, information systems and technology, aerospace, marine systems and combat systems. General Dynamics made significant growth in their information systems and technology segment in 2016. Information and technology segment provides products and services for military, federal, state, local and commercial customers. Revenues for this segment in FY2016 were 9.187 million as compared to 8.965 million in FY2015 up 2.5%. This growth is due to an increase in the revenue of C4ISR systems (command, control, communication, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance). General Dynamics has seen robust growth in their aerospace business over the past few years. It grew at a compound annual rate of 12% for the 2012-2014 period 6.912 million in FY2012 to 8.649 million in FY2014. Revenues of aerospace segment increased by 6.5% in FY2014 compared to 5.998 million in FY2013 and between 2010 and 2011 the aerospace segment increase 13.2%. This is due to revenue from the Gulfstream business- jet aircraft among other new business- jet aircrafts. It is expected to reach 65 billion by 2020 growing at a CAGR of 4.1% during 2015-2025 and to reach 100 billion by the end of 2025. Strategic acquisitions help the company expand its business and geographic presence. In February 2016 the company acquired Bluefin Robotics, a manufacturer of unmanned undersea vehicles. This acquisitions of Enterprise Jet Center in February 2012 and Explosive Environmental Company in May of 2010 also helped to expand the company’s business
