Is General Zaroff’s game fair? In the story The Most Dangerous Game Zaroff’s game is unfair. Reasons it’s unfair are, Zaroff has a pistol while Rainsford has a hunting knife, Zaroff has home advantage, the dogs get sent out if Zaroff has trouble finding you. First example of how the game is unfair is how Zaroff has a Pistol while Rainsford has a hunting knife.
At this point in the book O’Brien has decided he is going to the war. Not really for himself but for the people in his town. He doesn’t want the embarrassment of not going, he doesn 't want people looking down on him. He ultimately does it for everybody but himself. It comes from the story “On the rainy river”.
Most people when they hear “The Most Dangerous Game” they think of bull riding or other dangerous games that don’t involve death. “The Most Dangerous Game” is a suspenseful cliff hanging story that follows the days of a castaway on the island of a crazed hunter. Rainsford is a big game hunter who falls off a boat near the island of General Zaroff, a big Cossack general who is looking for an alternative to hunting dangerous animals but with a twist. Throughout “The Dangerous Game” Rainsford and General Zaroff both show examples of IRony and exert arrogance.
For the story, “ Most Dangerous Game” I had one question. What kind of animal is being hunted in the story by General Zaroff? I think the animal that is being hunted is a hybrid of the Cape Buffalo and the jaguar. In the story General Zaroff said the jaguar is super fast and he needed a challenge.

Each of the two stories have many likenesses and differences, in addition to focusing on the three same ideas. These three ideas are war, brotherhood, and regret. The war in “The Sniper” is an actual war.
Do you think there is a difference between being selfish and trying to survive? All survivors have skills or attributes that helped them survive the situation they were put into. Survivors are put into situations that are not apart of everyday life. They must have/gain attributes that help them succeed in surviving. Successful survivors have many traits that helped them survive in their unique situation, but two traits that most survivors have are resourcefulness and the ability to do what was necessary.
Rainsford, Montresor, Walter Palmer, and the Sniper all killed. Rainsford was the most justified in killing his enemy. My reasons are self defense General Zaroff was a murderer, and sailors would get trapped. My first reason is Gen. Zaroff tried to kill Rainsford On page (29) “Tonight,” said the general, “we will hunt You and I”
General Zaroff can also be described as a static character. Over the course of the story he doesn’t change from thinking that human are not for hunting, he still thinks that hunting is more than an animal. Rainsford cannot believe that General is murder but General doesn’t take it seriously. “Why should I be serious? I am speaking of hunting . .
“I am strong, I hunt the scum of the earth”(17). He only kills them because he wants to hunt something that can reason, something that can change its mind when faced with a life or death situation. “But they are men,” said Rainsford hotly. “Precisely,” said the general”(17). Zaroff is an apex hunter, and he demands the ultimate prey.

General Macarthur in And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie isn’t as guilty as some of the other characters. General Macarthur’s crime was that he sent a man to war knowing that he was going to die, because he had an affair with Macarthur’s wife. I don’t think that Macarthur was completely innocent, but I don’t think he deserved to die. He was a general, which probably means that he helped the military, and helped protect his country.
What does civilized mean? Civilized means to be well educated and knows their rights. Evidence from the story shows that Zaroff considers himself civilized, Rainsford considers Zaroff civilized, and Rainsford considers himself civilized. Initially most people will think Zaroff isn 't civilized but there is evidence in the story.
The Most dangerous game In this story their is a man named Zaroff that hunts humans. Mr.Rainsford gets hunted by this crazy man and he also hunts other people. I think it is wrong to hunt man need some serious help.
