The most common are Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), social anxiety, specific phobias, and panic disorder. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is when a person is worrying about multiple things day in and day out for 6 months or more. This could include anything that happens in their everyday life, ranging from chores around the house or even to work/school. When a person has a specific phobia, they tend to try and avoid this circumstance at all costs. Claustrophobia, a fear of confined spaces, is a reason why they would want to avoid elevators in the event it would get stuck in between floors. Panic disorders occur when a person has intense, uncontrollable feelings of anxiety mixed with physical symptoms. Usually a person starts to have a raise in heart rate, become dizzy, sweat, etc. when they are having a panic attack. Panic attacks aren’t seriously harmful, but due to the body being filled with immense anxiety, it feels a lot worse than it actually
