“In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 The iconic few words that began the Bible. Or as the Jews called it the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible. The Earth was created pure and good until Chapter 3 where we, man, messes everything up. “The man said, ‘the woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.” (Genesis 3:12.) This is where God had to step in, because there was sin, He was unable to be with the creation that He made. At least not in the same way that it had been in the garden. So God had to step in, in Genesis 3:15 He prophesied that there will be a redemptive Seed that will crush the Devil's head and will be victorious. In Exodus 2:12 “So he looked this way and …show more content…

This for sure is not ok, I mean not as horrible as eating the fruit that curses all of humanity but still bad. Leviticus is basically the entire law on how to be holy enough to be with God but as humans because we ate the apple we are unable to fulfill the whole law. James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.” In numbers we see that Israel sins against God Numbers 13:1-19:22 and in Numbers 20:1-29 we see the consequences of those actions. In Deuteronomy Moses is preparing them for entering into the promised land even after they had messes up 40 years ago God still allowed them to go into the promised …show more content…

In Genesis, God makes a covenant with Abraham Genesis 17:6-7 “I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings will come forth from you. I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.” This is the covenant that Abraham made with God. From this would come the nation that would save the world. In exodus 23:7-8 “Then he took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people; and they said, ‘All that the LORD has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!” So Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, ‘Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words’”. The people renew their covenant with God. Agreeing that they will follow everything that is written on the law. They don't do it but I mean give them credit for answering the right way when they needed to. In number is where God fulfils His covenant to Abraham about where his children shall live. In Numbers 34:2 “Command the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you and an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders.” This is God giving them the ability to take all that was theirs that He had promised but sadly they got lazy and didn't completely drive out
