There are so many prisoners waiting for being killed.Also,the author use simple and flat way to describe the state of there's prisoners.In that case, the author wants to show us the execution is not a big deal to the prisoners.It is a commons things. In the author's opinion, people in that time, killing a people is not strange and angry. Also,what the author really want to show us that he is also against capturing one's life. Last, the action the prisoner did before they carrying out the execution catches the readers eyes. People think it's strange and puzzling.Why the Hindu person does such thing. The author also mentions the man seems not to say that for pray for himself , he repeats the in a regular speed. The prisoner might say that for 50 time or even for hundreds of times. And George Orwell believes that the prisoner still have his human instinct. That means that not only the jailers but also the prisoners they both sides don't think execution is a serious thing, in the prisoner's opinion, it just captures his own life,he's just dead.But he never want to against doing this.
