Introduction

George Washington is well known by a lot of people, because he is in the United State dollar bill. The reason why his in the dollar bill is because he gave a lot of help gaining freedom in the American Revolution. Early life

George Washington was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia, on February 22, 1732. He is the eldest of the six children of his father’s second wife. His father, Augustine Washington, was a leading planter in the area and also was serving as a justice of the county court. Then Washington’s dad died when he was eleven so his half-brother, Lawrence Washington took over his father’s properties.
