That is what General George Washington did during the Revolutionary War that began on April 19, 1775 to September 3, 1783. General George Washington had been selected to be a Commander in Chief of the Continental Army. Throughout the era of the War, General Washington has proved himself to be a formidable leader that made him recognizable in a much later life such as his presidential selection. This is because in the time before the industrial revolution, males who had high endurance as well as high physical strength translated directly to their political power. For example, General George Washington fought in the war and led men tactically, after the war he was nominated to become president because of his strengths on a battlefield. Women of society were not really allowed to fight in wars and were seen as weaker which can be seen to have a direct link to their political power. On the other hand, the ability to conceive children is the main factor of human existence.
George Washington had many impactful experiences that prepared him to become the President of the United States(P.O.T.U.S.). One of many impactful experiences that allowed George to successfully become President of the United States was that he was educated. George was home schooled for most of his life, but then later on went to an actual school. This allowed him to gain an education and prepared him by allowing to make wise decisions as P.O.T.U.S. In addition, George was prepared to become P.O.T.U.S, by previously serving as the head of the United States militia.
The antebellum period took place before the civil war. During this time period, one can thoroughly see accomplishments of the presidents in charge during that time. There is one who stood out the most based on my criteria and his outstanding achievements and it was George Washington . He was one with the most accomplishments, foreign policies and impacted the union the most after his presidency. Being in charge of a nation is never easy no matter how much experience or prepared one is, issues are always going to arise whether it be political, economic,or social issues.

Oxford’s dictionary describes “Integrity” as, “The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.” While many people fit that description I feel that Goerge Washington fits that description perfectly. George Washington was widely known for being a great leader, having strong moral principles, and for a strong will. Because of these qualities, he was “unanimously” chosen as the commander of the continental army. Some people believe that George Washington was a horrible person and did not have integrity, for example when he destroyed the ircois village and burned their crops leaving them homeless and without food, but I believe the fact that he led the emancipation of America over rules that.
Although unrelatable and underappreciated in the eyes of modern history, George Washington shows his greatness through his character. Contemporary culture often neglects to recognise Washington’s greatness. Sadly, he has become a figure so far removed from the ideals and lives of modern Americans, that his name often provokes boredom. Nonetheless, his character proved to be perfect for what America needed during his life. His greatness was largely due to chance.
George Washington practically held grit in the palm of his hand. While looking grit in the eyes he spat at it’s feet. I mean he brought to light a country with power and ideals never heard of. Who does that? The ferocious battles he fought and the amount of time he spent formulating battle plans.
