There are several “Multiple Intelligences” outlined by Gardner that are truly evident in the painting style and vigor of Georgia O’Keeffe. After reviewing her collection of famous paintings, there is certainly a strong reliance in Logical and Mathematical intelligence, which is considered as the “giftedness in abstract thinking and using reasoning to interpret the complexities of life” (NEEDS CITING). Her paintings extensively emphasize the logic with color pigments giving a vibrant and jubilating resonance in nature and its complexity. In her later works there is an increasing unique responsiveness of visual and spatial intelligence interpreting the visual world by utilizing spatial information. These paintings have in-depth features providing a sense of dimensional space. Through the progression of her macular degeneration, she began to create hand-crafted pots, which demonstrates an ability of bodily and kinesthetic intelligence through the use of control of her motions to manipulate the clay into shape of her paintings. Her later works emphasize more color contrast between black and white to create the perception of closer or farther images as well as a dimensional integration. Her earlier works has a strong change between vibrant colors, whereas her later works depict more sensibility with different color grades.
