Beyond rankings, location, and athletics, why are you interested in attending Georgia Tech? (max 150 words)

Interning at the ADAMS Lab at the University at Buffalo made me realized my passion I had for engineering research. Working with Autonomous UAVs I began to understand just how satisfying the element of discovery and how much the rigor appealed to me. I hope to continue working with autonomous UAVs as a researcher in college. My goal is to deploy these UAVs to disaster-stricken areas of the world, particularly in poor third world countries, to aid in search and rescue efforts. I am interested in attending Georgia Tech’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program among other things. UROP will allow me to pursue research as an undergraduate, an opportunity not available at most colleges across the US. Georgia Tech also has its own dedicated UAV research facility where I hope to someday work with renowned professor Eric N. Johnson. The resources and opportunities Georgia Tech provide for their undergraduates interested in research makes it the perfect fit for me. …show more content…

Growing up, he was very shy, struggling to talk seriously affected the way his ability to make friends. In elementary school, I would leave class early to help my brother during speech therapy. I did everything I could at home and at school to help him. I would help him read, play games with him, talking to him whenever I could to help him come out of his shell and work on his social skills. This speech impediment also affected his school work. I would teach him everything from math to reading.
Throughout my life, I have witnessed his transition from a shy, reserved kid, to a outgoing and bright young man. I am proud of the effects my positive contributions and influence has had on his development and growth as a
