By analyzing Claudius, in my opinion, he is a person who considers himself very Christian. However, his choices go against his Christianity and he tried to hide that. He doesn’t react when Gertrude drinks because he probably wants to pretend like he didn’t know the poison was in there or it could have also been a way to keep the crown without the need of depending on her. He tells the queen “Gertrude do not drink” which prove my point that he got conscience but he tries to cover his sins by not doing anything about it. His purpose is always to look as a right man in front of everyone else. He is pretty much like a wolf dressing like an innocent dog whose thoughts are to be better than anybody even if it costs the life of others. All Along,
