Scrooge snorts himself awake, about at one o’clock. Scrooge is hip to all this now, but he does not freak out. Scrooge grabs onto his bathrobe and nothing is happening until he sees a weird light coming from the next room and decides to investigate and guess what it was gosht time. So now this ghost is from the present .
In the movie The Christmas Carol Scrooge was a business man, he was not nice to other people and did not like Christmas since his partner died on Christmas Eve. After he came from work his partner showed up as a ghost and warned him about three spirits that are going to visit him and each spirit shows him the past, present, and future. The spirit of Christmas that affected Scrooge the most were the spirit of Christmas future. Scrooge did not care about any one after his partner died on Christmas Eve. Once his partner visited him he was supposed to be visited by ghost past, present, and future.
Once upon a time, a man called Ebenezer Scrooge that was paying the mortician to bury Marley but he was disagreeing because he didn’t want to give tip to the man that helped him to the mortician of Marley. 7 years pass and Scrooge is in his office and his nephew Fred visits him and said to him merry Christmas and he was angry since he didn’t like Christmas, after a large day Scrooge goes home and when he was already home the ghost of his friend of business, Marley, Scrooge was scared, since Marley has a lot of chains and Marley tells him that the chains were all over him because of all the bad acts that he been doing during all of the time, and since has that chains he has been suffering all time. Marley also tell him that he will be visited by 3 spirits. Then when Scrooge was going to bed, the ghost of Christmas
He appreciated his time with people and realized Christmas was more than he thought. In A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens’ the ghosts teach scrooge, his past doesn’t define him, the true meaning of the holidays, and that his present affects the future so that scrooge can have a chance to change for the better.
The ghost of Christmas past influenced Scrooge because it showed him that money doesn’t matter. The ghost showed Scrooge with Belle and Scrooge realized what he missed out on. Scrooge and Belle were not together anymore because he cared more about his wealth than her. The ghost of Christmas past showed Scrooge a time when Belle broke off their engagement and Scrooge said, “Spirit! Show me no more!
At the start of stave 4, the last spirit enters. Scrooge described the phantom as being “Shrouded in a deep Black garment” (Stave 4, line 3). This phantom, unlike the other two spirits, has no face. However, even though you cannot see its face, you may feel “ghostly eyes” watching you.
Scrooge awakes to the second of the three spirits, the Ghost of Christmas Present. Consecutively, they go on a little tour of his town and Scrooge observed the large amount of Christmas cheer almost everywhere. Scrooge and the Ghost of Christmas Present zoom in on a house which, conveniently, is his clerk’s family’s home. The twain watched as the Cratchits eat dinner and, while doing so, meeting all the young Cratchits and one in particular named Tiny Tim, who’s a little bundle of joy despite being crippled. Consequently, everyone falls in love with Tiny Tim and Scrooge questions, “Spirit, tell me if Tiny Tim will live.”
Pumps, directed by Joshua Tickell, is a film that explores the history and impact of oil and gasoline and their alternatives. The documentary delves into how gasoline companies have swayed the American economy, society, and environment. The viewer is presented with an eye-opening argument against a product that few would otherwise bat an eye at. Viewing the many alternatives to oil and gasoline, one may consider the benefits of choosing one fuel source over the other. While Pumps excels at describing the number of options Americans do not consider, it also fails to explain multiple things.
At 1:00 a.m. the night before Christmas, Scrooge was visited by the ghost of Christmases before. This ghost showed scrooge how happy he was then. The ghost also showed him where he started to go in the wrong direction. Later that night at 2:00 a.m., the ghost of Christmas present showed scrooge how Christmas would go that morning. The employee for Scrooge had a very sick son and would not make it much longer and Scrooge did not realize how bad he was until the ghost showed him.
Then, he went to his house and he received a visit from three different ghosts. One of the ghosts was from the past. The second was from the present. The third was from the future. Their purpose was to change Scrooge attitude of being selfish and not helping others with necessities.
After this, The Ghost of Christmas Present shows the mean old man what people who are part of his life are doing on Christmas Eve. Lastly, The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come leads Scrooge to a future Christmas. All these spirits had the power to change Scrooge by using memory, compassion,
“The righteousness of the blameless keeps his ways straight, but the wicked falls by his own wickedness”(Prov. 11:5). The story, “A Christmas Carol”, is about a cold-hearted man named Scrooge who transforms himself into a jolly, kind man when three Ghosts teach Scrooge about the spirit of Christmas. In the story, Charles Dickens illustrates the theme of how no one is past redemption through the transformation of Scrooge’s personality by the lessons of the Spirits. At the beginning of the story, Scrooge’s selfish personality is revealed, and the Ghost of Christmas Past comes and shows him the memories and truth of his life long ago.
One night, in a dream, he is warned by his deceased friend, Marley, that three spirits would come to him. The first spirit is the spirit of Christmas past, and it shows him an event from his past. In the event, Scrooge is seen leaving his lover because she is too poor. Scrooge regrets this decision greatly. The next spirit tells him about the present, and it shows him how his employee, Bob Cratchit, is suffering.
