When Ginny returned to the house, she found herself under her mother's watchful eyes. She was never left alone, someone who always around her. Normally one of the servants- Rosanna Boyer, housekeeper and her mother's favorite, or Sally- was always there, finding some task to do around here. Ginny knew her mother had set them up to it.
This carried on for a week. Ginny was furious with her mother. She just wanted to be left alone so she could come to terms with what she had lost. Yet, she could not. Even at night, when she tried to hide alone in her room, Nelly or Lissy was there. Ginny was not sure if they were there because Mother had set them up or if they just happened to be there.

We cannot possess too much freedom or else our society will turn to anarchy, where everyone claims they can do what they wish, claiming it is there freedom. We have a king for hundreds of years, why should we change now?"
"Oh," was all Ginny said. There was no need to express more emotion than that, but even a simple oh may have been too much.
"Oh? What do you mean by oh?" Rebecca asked, eyebrows raised.
"I just think that it is an interesting view."
"Ginny, do you possess patriotic sympathies?"
"No, no, no," Ginny replied, surprised at how easy it was to lie. "I just think sometimes war may be necessary."
"Can you give an example?"
"Maybe if there was a tyrant ruler who is evil to his people. The people have tried other methods to solve the problem, yet they have failed."
Rebecca paused and thought for a moment. "Maybe, just maybe, in that situation, yes I can see it coming to war, but you agree that we are not in that situation?"
"No, not yet at least," Ginny replied, hoping she could be forgiven for not telling an outright lie.
"Good," Rebecca said. There was a knock on the door, startling both of them. Rebecca took a moment to catch her breath and then called, "Come
