Thom Browne: Revolutionizing in men's suiting Giorgio Armani S.p.A., Emporio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Armani Jeans, Armani Junior, Armani Exchange and Armani Casa are popular names in America and the world at large, names that are associated with one man; Giorgio Armani (Armani, and Paolo 115). He is an Italian fashion designer, known in America more than any other place in the world for the elegant menswear he designed and still designs. The Name Armani is easily identified with sophistication and style (Bryan 112). For a man who started as a window dresser, his rise to being one of the best known Italian designers must have been triggered by special attributes that he possessed and exhibited through his designs. Giorgio Armani developed into a designer just by chance: moving from becoming a doctor as his career choice, he dropped from college as medical student and joined the army, where he served for sometime before he was discharged. While in Milan for vacation, he found a job where he worked as a window dresser in a local departmental store, a job he did for seven years (Welters, Linda, and Patricia 203).
