As Global UGRAD provides talented students from regional universities with scholarships to study at a U.S. university, I see it as a magical door showing up in front of me. I do not hesitate to give it a try, because it would bring me to places I have always dreamed of. I know it might not be easy to step through that door, but I still believe in my potential. I would be a great participant of UGRAD, because I have dreams to pursue, such as studying in America, doing volunteer activities in other countries, and sharing my way of life, traditions, customs and language with lots of different people from across the globe. I have been interested in studying in the United States since I was a senior in high school. When I saw the ways my American teachers showed me, it made me feel exceptionally inquisitive about how the educational system in America was like. As I desire to become an English teacher, I am determined to push students to be successful. I trust that education is the important key to achievement. By studying in America, I am sure that I would gain new perspectives and I would be able to bring useful methods back to Thailand so that I could help students learn English more …show more content…

I always do volunteer activities because I love creating connections with people. For example, I volunteered to teach students in a rural school. As a result of that open door, I could make more companions from different universities. I am also a leader who organizes social events for students taking part in activities and leads group discussions about problems confronted by members and how to solve them.
