How much do you, the human population appreciate life and the planet that sustains it? Many scholars, researchers, and environmentalists are expressing concerns about changes in the overall climate of the earth. Earth operates on a delicate blend of gases that allow it to be habitable to organisms of all origins. Greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere are harmless when they are in balance, however, when too much gas is introduced into the atmosphere our planet becomes unstable. The dangerous warming of our planet has caused an instability that is hard to recover from. The gradual warming has taken a toll on animals, habitats, natural resources, the weather, and believe it or not the human population. It may come as a surprise …show more content…
There are numerous factors that play a role in the gradual heating of our planet. Human activities such as the destruction of habitats, burning fossil fuels, and the lifestyle choices we choose to pursue all contribute to the slow destruction of our planet. Everyone who lives on planet earth would benefit from better environmental treatment. The topic of global warming has been one of the top trending controversial topics over the last twenty years. Many believe humans have no ties to the environmental changes that have been steadily occurring world wide. There is an ample amount of scientific evidence that proves global warming is occurring, therefore, our population needs to set all political or individual disbeliefs aside and act as one to make a change that will benefit our environment. Every living organism on this planet will benefit from adjusting their lifestyles to an environmentally friendly manner of …show more content…
Even though our environment may seem stable to the naked eye, scientists have proven that the gradual warming of our earth will not have a promising outcome. Due to the gradual warming of our planet, the outcomes are hard to pinpoint as global warming has not developed to its most fatal form. As of now we see the effects of global warming as ice melting in mountain glaciers and the polar ice caps. As a result, habitats of many animals and animals themselves are being destroyed. Another obvious issue with global warming is the increase in temperature which much of the United States have experienced. Over the past several years, record breaking, brutally hot summers, to a colder than average winter have been recorded all over the world (livescience.com). As temperature rises, our climate is subjected to fatal weather conditions such as hurricanes or tornados, because a main motive to the creation of these types of storms is the rise in temperature. What concerns me the most, and has a large influence on why this paper is being written is for those who reside near coastal areas. According to Associating Press, “By 2100, scientists and computer models estimate that sea levels globally could rise as much as 3.3 feet,” and this study predicts that the East Coast could see “8 to 11
