Pollution Essay: Should Humans Cause Climate Change?

“In fact, we are statistically more confident that humans cause climate change than that smoking causes cancer.” (EDF.org) That’s right, humans are the main cause to climate change. It all comes down to daily activities that every human goes through or is apart of. These such actions include driving cars, cutting down forests for palm oil, and agriculture. Things that we do every day is heating the place we rely on the most. Humans should change their daily activities since the earth is injured from carbon and methane spike.
There are statements that say global warming isn’t the only and not the biggest risk we have in society today; however it’s not supported by scientific facts. In reality one of the biggest issues we have is global warming and its coming from an everyday use of cars and trucks. Cars give out big amount of carbon dioxide and millions of cars are used every day. This spikes carbon in the atmosphere and makes green house gas levels go up. “27 percent of 2015 greenhouse gas emissions – Greenhouse gas emissions from transportation primarily come from burning fossil fuel for our cars, trucks, ships, trains, and planes.” (EPA.gov). Many cows give off big amounts of methane per year since they are fed mostly grass. “(9 percent of 2015 greenhouse gas emissions) – Greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture come from livestock such as cows, agricultural soils, and rice production”(EPA.gov). Another main reason is our weather patterns are changing the way we have to grow crops which is causing the earth to warm. The rainfall patterns have been changing in areas which makes the way we grow crops different. This makes unequal warming through the atmosphere. “The rainfall patterns are changing the way vegetables are being produced which is causing unequal earth warming.”(Bunyard). If we take agriculture to a different step and change the ways we grow and raise our food, we can help save the
