Appiah’s analysis focus on globalization as way to bring different culture together, and changes traditional way of life. He discussed that, some people thinks of globalization as evil. globalization can produce similarity, but globalization can also be a threat to homogeneity. People who value their family tradition doesn’t want changes, they feel that their Identities are threatened. People of culture argue that they should not have to choose what they value and what not to value. Secondly as a new form where Globalization and religion can change the pattern of past historical. Globalization is the increase or interaction between people worldwide. Appiah admits that some people think that globalization is not good. As such, they believe that stylishness is interfering into traditional rituals I agree to Appiah analysis, religion can cause discrimination and division among people and culture. Religion can be dated by thousands of years, over the years family have base their tradition off of religion. This have cause family to be deeply rooted in their tradition. And globalization has cause a negative effect on their culture. Religion is important and are valuable in traditional family. It can be hard changing your own belief. Breaking old habit and learning new ones is not as easy. Religion and old traditions, have set order on how people should live, who they should love, and what’s right from wrong. He mention that the world is getting contaminated. By contaminated he mean that the mixture of all the advanced values and traditions are damaging and eventually destroy what our ancestor left behind. What he mean is that some people will lose their value from the past that was passed down from generation to generation, because of advance technology. Family tradition and values can be erased and no longer exist. For instance in my family tradition, Sunday is family day. Majority of the family will come together cook and have fun play games and enjoy each other company. If no one is not in the mood for family day or they have something personal to take care of, or even get tired of doing the same thing, it okay for family day to be cancel, we don’t get mad at the next person because we believe that everyone has their own life to live and have a choice to do as they please.
