The Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan, is General Motor's, world headquarters. Also known as GM or GMC, they are currently the sixth largest car manufacturer in the world based on annual sales in 2014. Founded in 1908, in Flint, Michigan, GM employs "212,000 plus employees...that work in 396 facilities touching six continents, they speak more than 50 languages and touch 23 time zones." (GM, 2014) In 1908 GMs was originally founded as a holding company for Buick and later that same year came to acquire Oldsmobile.
