Goal Work Priority Provide a brief description about the results the team member achieved this year towards their goals/priorities. As the VFSM, Darius was responsible for helping the Region achieve its sales plan set the direction for the District Managers, he was also responsible for developing the business acumen of the District Managers and provide feedback as to their progress and preparedness for future responsibilities. To help with the District Managers’ growth and development, Darius took a new approach of having each one of them spend several days in one of their dealerships and get experience on the retail side of the business. One of the competencies where Darius embraced all of the behaviors associated with it was in “Grow”. During the development of his 2017 department roadmap, he met with his team and determined that Associate Development was going to be one of the department’s focus items. With that, he developed the in-dealership training program as mentioned above, he scheduled monthly training days for his team to share their issues, solutions and successes with each other, and provided feedback to his team members on a quarterly basis when they received their bonus notifications. With his focus on growing and developing his associates, Darius naturally exhibited the behaviors associated with “Lead”. He would consistently advocate on his team’s behalf when they were working hard and hitting numbers. He also had the ability to show the District Managers and other associates during his roadmap update how the work they were doing ultimately impacted the results of the region. Furthermore, as Darius helped his associates develop, it enabled him to empower them to make decisions on market challenges and apply their business insight to develop programs which would motivate, but also help achieve the region’s
