This play does just that. It looks deeper than just an entertaining night at the theatre it encourages conversation and debate. It forces people to discuss the uncomfortable topics and increases understanding of unfamiliar situations. I watched the audience cringe and become uncomfortable, I saw the characters bring us together and tear us apart, but most of all I felt a connection, an understanding with my fellow audience members when we all walked out together still saddens by the events that had taken place. If your are looking for an intriguing night filled with a roller coaster of emotion that leads to a deeper understand of your fellow humans than this is the show for
A lot of developments were being made in the 1942-1945 time period. The US started to really get involved with World War ll, and race wars were breaking out in a number of major cities. Even with all of this madness going on Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein ll were able to create two beautiful shows, Oklahoma! and Carousel. These two amazing pieces of theatre have some dynamic characters that shed light on the rural American economic, social, and sexual complexities of that time.

The theater production play the foreigner was presented at Footlik theater Des Plaines campus on Friday, March, 10, 2017. My Opinion of production of overall preformation would enjoyable and engaging for the theater audience in attendance. The basic plot of the play foreigner is about rural fishing lodge in Georgia with people have two faces saying thing that on their mind when they think there one is around. While watching, and review the theater production of the foreigner I found the acting of the foreigner actor were believable
The scenery was weird when I first came in maybe because I wasn 't expecting to see boobs been drawn on trees and also penis on trees. Everything went well with what was going on in the stage. The outside venue was nice not like some others I 've been to. The play was interesting and really funny, well the actors made it funny. The actors would interact with the audience.
I was glad to find out that for the second play that I was required to attend was already picked out for me. I went and saw Gypsy production put together at Harper College on Sunday November 14th 2015. Similar to Rocky Horror Picture Show I didn’t have a clue as to what this play was going to be about or what to expect. I had never even been to the performing arts center before but to my surprise it was very nice in there. This play was actually pretty believable with the mom wanting her daughter to be a star and her providing the best to her ability.
In Renton, Washington during 1986, Playtime Theaters purchased two movie theater locations in hopes of broadcasting movies of Adult films for public entertainment. The city of Renton placed a zoning ordinance in previous years prohibiting that adult films cannot be located within 1,000ft of a resident, church, park, or school. Playtime Theaters felt that the city of Renton location ordinance was a violation of the First and Fourteenth amendments of the United States Constitution. Playtime Theaters decided to file a suit in Federal District Court seeking an injunction and declaratory judgment claiming that their First and Fourteenth amendment were violated, because of the type of films that they were going to showcase.

What being Hispanic means to me is mainly opportunity. I say opportunity not only in terms of my educational interests, but my social and cultural ones as well. For example, one area in which I 've seen myself taking advantage of these opportunities is theatre. Over the past 3 years at DePauw, I have been very involved with DePauw theatre, and this past year especially, have taken leadership roles within the department. This involvement has opened my eyes as to exactly how little people of color are represented within theatre, not only in acting roles, but especially in leadership roles.
Overall, the performance was great and brought my attention to a lot of little details. I am surprised to say that I enjoyed the play much more than I did the movie. I have a new appreciation for the art of theater. The elements brought out in the play made all the emotions seem realistic and not just a performance. Seeing the lights dim, hearing a gloomy song, and watching the facial expression of an upset character makes the performance seem so much realer than watching a man on television talk about being sad.

Oxford dictionary defines the word “play” in relation to theatre as “a dramatic composition which is represented or performed in a theatrical performance or film” . Also known as drama, a play is principally meant to be performed on stage rather than be read as it brings a more active form of presentation. It also “provides an extra dimension of dynamism as the readers can visualise the characters enacting the dialogue and action of the play while the audience can see the actors perform live on stage” (Tutorial notes-Unit 1, 2017). As a short story or novel, a play especially tragedy, according to Aristotle (384-322 BC) contained six vital elements. It includes (in order of importance)
The origins of theatre are not known for certain because there are a collection of ideas and theories behind the origins, but one thing that we can be certain about is that ancient theatre in comparison to modern day theatre has changed and there must be reasons for these changes. I for one think that these elements range from large scale events to subtly changes in society and how we interpret ideas in general. Although the change in theatre is clear, in my opinion they were dependant on factors including Gender and equality, Theatre styles, Practitioners and Technology, but others may disagree that these were primary factors. In order to give a clear view on how theatre has changed I will be focusing on two relatively recent century’s in

The three genre were delighted in by the antiquated Greeks were the comedy, tragedy, and satyr plays. The three main classes of old Greek theater were
