Joe Rodriguez, the man once considered one the masterminds behind the company’s financial strategy, called time on his role as Gold Resource Chief Financial Officer. After working towards delivering a massive $103 million payout to shareholders since 2010, Rodriguez has made the decision to explore other career opportunities. Given his success for the company the news did rock the price of Gold Resource shares momentarily. Rumours has swirled that the departure has occurred due to the two parties having differing issues with regards to the companies direction. However, Gold Resource has moved quickly to discount such as just rumours and that the departure has not occurred due to any issues related to the company’s financial practices, principles, or disclosures. Speaking on the departure of Rodriguez, Jason Reid (Gold Resource President and CEO) said, "The Board and I would like to thank Mr. Rodriguez for his contributions to the Company and wish him well in his future endeavors”. During such statement he also commented on the arrival of Rodriguez interim successor in John Labate, “I would also like to welcome Mr. Labate to the company, and thank him for his assistance through the successful conclusion of the search
