Invasive species interact with the global health of ecosystems; cause great damage to natural systems and are a huge cost to society as a whole (1). Biologists and environmentalists are alarmed that the invasions of these species could lead to large-scale declines and extinction of native species (3). There are approximately 50,000 foreign species Living in the United States, causing major environmental damages which costs add up to about $120 billion a year. It is believed that about 42% of the threatened or endangered species are at risk because of invasive species (4).

Although they are related to carp species that are non-invasive, these goldfish being released threatens the stabilization of the many Canadian rivers and lakes. If the authorities aren’t able to stop the flourishing invasion of the friendly orange goldfish, they could be looking at a depletion of resources vast enough to cause harm t o the native animal and plant
The stickleback fish have gained much attention from evolutionary biologists because of their historic ability to adapt to conditions that were not favorable and to survive successfully in them. They are also able to give researchers insight into how evolution occurs in other organisms. The stickleback normally spawns in freshwater but lives in the salt-water ocean. Long ago when ice melted and receded, the fish were given new possible places to inhabit and they did, expanding their spawning locations to newly formed streams. Eventually, though, the streams were cut off from the sea and the once salt-water sticklebacks were faced with the problem of being stuck in freshwater with no way to get out.1
THE GREAT LAKES The great lakes are comprised of 5 different fresh water lakes, Superior, Huron, Michigan, Ontario, and Erie. The lakes are situated along the US-Canadian border, touching Ontario in Canada and Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio Pennsylvania, Indiana and New York in the United States. Roughly 34 million people in Canada and the United States live in the great lakes basin, and also 35 000 plants and animals, over 170 of those being fish, inhabit the great lakes (Zimmermann). This significantly large water body holds an estimate of 6 quadrillion gallons of water.

While I have stopped growing physically, my desire to learn never will.
Blackfish The documentary Blackfish, directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite released in July 2013, explores the mistreatment of killer whales and the relationship between the killer whales and trainers as well as the significant problems of the sea-park industry, with a focus upon SeaWorld. Cowperthwaite positions the audience to feel sympathy towards the killer whales by making deliberate choices in sound, visual, language, and structure through the representation of trainers as unprofessional, and whales as mistreated, also experts as reliable information source. Firstly, Cowperthwaite uses effective language techniques to position the audience to view the trainers as undertrained and unprofessional.
Introduction: Antagonistic behaviors are those conflict behaviors that include aggressive and submissive behaviors. Antagonistic behaviors tend to occur over territoriality. Every animal is looking for the most advantageous place to live and this results in having conflicts with other animals similar to their species and their needs. Animals fight for territory for many reason including: competition for food, to avoid interruptions while mating, survival and others. Fighting becomes a result from intrusion.
In the story, “What, of This Goldfish, would You Wish?” is about a man, Sergei Goralick, and his magical goldfish that granted him three wishes. Based on Sergei’s own speech, thoughts, and actions, readers can infer that deep down he is depressed and lonely. Sergei kept himself distant from everyone and was not very fond of strangers knocking on his door. One day a boy, Yonatan, showed up at Sergei’s front steps and insisted on asking questions for a movie he was filming, but Sergei was not appealed. As Yonatan still tried to question he was intrigued by Sergei’s magical goldfish, Sergei became overprotective and killed the boy.
