By using Google Analytics for Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company, I would hope to gather an abundant amount of information that would help improve the company. I would want to gather information about the visitors the company attracts, who the regular visitors are, what web pages are being visited the most/not at all, if the visitors are finding what they need, and if the company is making money by subscriptions and orders. Perhaps using this information, I would bring up the idea of opening a new store since we are only located mostly in Northwest Ohio. This information can very well help decide where to possibly add another store based on online orders and where people visit from. How I choose Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company for the Google Analytics, I was ordering popcorn online to send to my boyfriend in Columbus. When I thinking about what to send him Shirley’s came to mind because I told him he needed to try their Buckeye popcorn. So, I headed straight for the URL and typed in shirleyspopcorn.com. It then ‘popped’ into my head that this would be perfect for Google Analytics even though I would not actually get information because I do not have access to the website. Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company’s main goal is to have conversion and make a profit. In order to so, the company needs to meet the needs of their visitors through their website. Once the visitor’s needs are met then they are more likely to make a sale.
