Who is Jesus? Why did people worship Him? Why was it important for him to ask Peter “who do say I am?” and “who do others say that I am?” Everybody had different interpretation and understanding of Jesus Christ… even the Gospel writers. Matthew depicts Jesus as the long-awaited Jewish Messiah and the king of the Jews. Mark depicts Jesus as a Suffering Servant. Luke depicts Jesus as the Son of Man while John paints Jesus as the Son of Man. The synoptic Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John played a major role in the Bible. All four Gospels paints a different picture of Christ which gives greater insight to His person and deity. Through the Gospels, believers are offend key points, review structure, themes, settings, and dates of each of the Gospels. The Gospel of Matthew. The Gospel of Matthew clear in his purpose and is unique in its role in the scriptures. At the time the Jews were desperately looking for a savior that would release them from the appearance of the Roman Empire. The Gospel of Mark present Jesus as the Servant, even the Suffering Servant in the book of Isiah 53. In Mark’s Gospel is the fulfill of the prophecy concerning Christ as the Slave of Jehovah in the book of Isiah 421-4; 6-7; 49:5-7; 50:4-7; 52:13-53:12, and the details from the teaching regarding as Christ the Slave of God in The book of Philippians. The Gospel of Luke presents present Jesus as “the Son of Man.” Jesus was not refer as the Christ or King or God incarnate, he was surely the Son of Man. In other words, “Son of Man” was termly used to say what Jesus did rather than what He
