How much can a government control its people through books and media? A nation can be brainwashed through learning. There are prime examples of this all around the world. Think how much the government could manipulate you through learning sources. How do you know what your learning through sources likes books and media are true? You don’t do you, do you? Fahrenheit 451 shows how much power can be controlled through books. The public in the book aren’t allowed to read books because it upsets people. In the novel the firefighters burn houses down with people inside sometimes because their are books inside. How can a massive government be so scared of a books? Now how can a book scare someone? Because the government has made the people believe that books are bad and are highly illegal. This sounds far fetched but you can find similar examples in today’s world. In many countries the Bible is illegal for example some of the country’s are North Korea, Somalia, Maldives, Morocco, Libya and Uzbekistan. The Bible is illegal because of the power it holds.
