When I was younger I imagine myself influencing younger generations, to be able to make them believed everything was possible, to make them realized that underprivileged students can attend college. Now that I’m halfway of my second year of teaching, I come to realize that my bachelors is not enough. I realized that I want to influence more than just my classroom. After a couple of weeks of thinking what could be the best way to reach a bigger crowd of students, I decided that the best way was to pursue my Masters in Education. Becoming a principal will allow me to influence other teachers and have more resources to help the younger generations. After searching different universities I decided to apply to the University of Texas at Arlington because it has one of the best reputations in the DFW area, I also believed they will prepared me on becoming a better leader to be able to impact our future generations.

I do believed social status, race, or gender might still be a hurdle for some students but I have worked hard this two years to change the mindset of my students and know they believe in changing the graduating statistics. I feel happy knowing I have change the mind my two classes but I know there’s more to do that’s why I’m not satisfy with my work. I know that it’s my responsibility to help at a massive scale. Becoming a principal I will allow me to reach to educators, that’s multiplying my effort and reaching out to students that I could probably never be able to reach. If I’m accepted and able to graduate I will make sure every single teacher in my school believes that every student that enter their room have endless possibilities in life. I trust blindly that the University of Arlington will help me accomplish my goal on
