As a millennial, throughout my life I have seen new technologies come up in the blink of an eye and evolve at a whiplash-inducing pace. We have come a long way from bulky dumb machines to sleek and smart gadgets transforming the way we perceive the world. In a developing country like India, this development has influenced a lot of people and impacted a lot of lives. I interned at Myntra Pvt. Ltd. during the final semester of my undergrad, where I worked on scalable Isomorphic Web Applications, dabbling with JavaScript frameworks like React-Redux. After graduating, I started my professional career as a Software Engineer at Samsung Research and Development, India - Delhi in the Graphics team (EFL) of Platform Software Department. My team has been solely responsible for handling graphics middleware and often, we face complex problems and last minute escalations, despite this, we are entrusted with delivering superior performance products. Working under stringent timelines has instilled in me the skills of level-headedness, decision making and effective communication. I have developed numerous internal tools which are being used by more than 40 teams inside Samsung. As a token of appreciation for all my contributions, I received a spot award, beating 1500 employees to it. Though the world of graphics and animations was very exciting, I still wanted to work on AI. Noticing that Samsung actively participated in Patent filing and discussions, I joined the ‘Artificial Intelligence task force’ to invest more time into it. After exploring and working on so many technologies, participating in this task force intensified my passion for AI and I decided that the time had come for me to pursue further research in this particular
