If we let anyone imagine about South Korea, most people might give the image of Korean series, tasty food or beautiful culture. For me, that was just the part that made me begin to interest this country, but the thing that was more attractive and was the first thing making me feel dazzled shock to this country is its development potential. I could clearly see a company becoming the world’s leader in mobile device producer and a major competitor with Apple, a company from United States of America, which was called the greatest country in the world—this company is Samsung. In this program, I also had a chance to visit KAIST, one of the best universities and institute of technology in South Korea. This trip made me experience the life of Korean students and their learning system; moreover, it made me favorite Korean society and learning a lot. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that I found my answer, a key to the success of this country. That is a great attention of a government and people to the development of education and technology. Korean government and all citizens have given priority to education and research as much through the enormous budget each year including the establishment of schools, institutes and universities to create the qualified personnel for the society and help each other to develop country so far as we can see nowadays. Consequently, this is what made me decide to choose this country to study in undergraduate degree, especially with the Korean Government scholarship. Being a student of this school, I get a lot of experience in both academic knowledge and student development activities. I had the opportunity to participate in the Academic Support Program for sending students to the Chemistry Olympiad, which gave me a knowledge and a profound understanding in Chemistry more than the typical students. Moreover, this experience made me love Chemistry and try to find answers on questions about chemistry all the time. In addition, doing a science project in the field of Chemistry on the topic “Increasing the stability of particle containing phase change material trough the polymeric crosslinking and application in natural” had made me excited to do experiments on very small particles for the first time, and, more than that, I feel the joy of doing what I like that is to do research in the fields relevant to chemicals and their molecules. According from this, I highly intended to make this project, delved lots of research, made it the best and, most importantly, tried to experience the work as much as possible. In addition, I also tried to attend in any science fair or competition, especially international program, to present my project to others and to observe the science projects from various countries.
