One more drop of the puck I thought. All of the work, for the Grand Rapids Griffins at least. Winning the first series, a best-of-five, against the Houston Aeros in a winner take all game five, winning the Conference Quarter-finals, best-of-seven, against the Toronto Marlies in six games, defeating the Oklahoma City Barons in the Conference Finals, and finally one drop of the puck away from the American Hockey League’s most prized possession, the Calder Cup. The game had been a back and forth game with the Crunch scoring first.
Intro What is the Serpent Mound? The Serpent Mound is an effigy, or a mound made of earth and stone. The formations most often look like animals but some can be human shaped. (1)
It combines unconventional landscape and portraiture, memorializing the desolation of the Gettysburg battlefield in its entirety. On the horizon line, there is decimation of fences that lay in stacks, reminiscent of how people pile up garbage for pick up. Natural elements are almost nonexistent, with the exception of two trees on the right and a single tree on the left that remain standing. What once was lush grass is now dried up, straw blankets for dirt. And, peering off into the distance, people can not see past the layers of hay-like footing, which invokes a picture that whatever exists in this plane is all that battle leaves in its’ wake.
By the 1980’s, Atlanta was rapidly expanding past the point of containment, and quickly exploded with a mass immigration of penniless merchants. It wasn’t until 1993, with the construction of Georgia 400 was Atlanta alleviated from this rapid migration into the city (Huff). Georgia 400 offered the citizens of Atlanta, primarily those who could afford the new BMW 325i convertible, an escape from all the caged madness that was offered by overpopulation such as longer wait times at The Varsity or an extended five minutes to their trips to The Fox Theatre. In time, many of the Bentley owners migrated away from the crowding city and took their precious tax dollars away to invest into other counties. West Forsyth High School and the other schools in Forsyth now began to provide students with a library and could build a football field.

Pair the greens with endless hills and mountains, and not one trail appears flat, but instead, the terrain is constantly traveling either up or down. Every house passed is a small, shanty, and generally made of painted metal. These homes do not amount to much by our American standards, but the pride and care taken in these structures are much more than ours. It appears very inch of these abodes and all belongings are taken care of and held with great pride. Surrounding the neighborhood is farmland full of coffee plants by the hundreds and sugar cane by the rows.
It has fascinating landscapes and the surroundings are quite amusing. Along with that, I liked that the admission for this place is totally free, so people who don’t like wasting money or can’t afford to go to the museums could go to this one for free and enjoy. Furthermore, the reason for me choosing this place for this paper is not because this place is free, but the fact that I am very interested in learning about the African-Americans and the contributions that they did in the United States. Since middle school I had always learned about the African Americans and the things that they had to go through in order to survive. The struggles and the sacrifices that they had to do for other people are very depressing.

After killed Mary, Bigger stolen her money and gave them to Bessie, his girlfriend, for alcohol.
The trees are always green and the water is always clean. I have so many memories of playing outside in the snow and getting together with all of the neighborhood kids for a baseball game. Many of those same kids still live in that city today. I am still in contact with some of them. Whenever I go home to visit, I get to see some of them.
I am from rolling green hills, always flowing free with buck and doe, From the wooden floors and carpets laced with dog hair To the echo of roaring bush hogs and tractors throughout the air I am from the black mud courtesy of passing ducks I am from the little black dog who chased a more youthful self Across the kitchen, around the island, trip, fall I’m from artistry and creative souls, aged finer than wine I’m from paint, clay, and most of all, color, that has skipped me entirely From the countless books read, to the times in Youngstown I’m from warm heads in warmer laps Baked goods, Rhode Island Red hens

I am a piece of gum. Yep, that’s right, a piece of gum. Here I am stuck in-between Hubba Bubba and Juicy Fruit on a wall. What a way to live. I was sentenced to a life of imprisonment here in this alleyway in Seattle, Washington.
